Novena To The Holy Trinity

About The Holy Trinity

The Christian doctrine, explains the Holy Trinity as the unity of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead. It is considered to be one of the central Christian affirmations about the existence of God.

The word Trinity comes from the Latin word Trinitas meaning “threefold” and proclaims that God is one God, and exists in the form of three coeternal and consubstantial persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. The three persons are different, but exist as one “substance, essence or in nature”.

This part of doctrine accepted by the Christian society is called Trinitarians, while the non-accepting members are called Nontrinitarians. The Holy Bible gives us the understanding of the Holy Trinity “triadic” in its holy gospels and is said to contain a number of Trinitarian formulas.

The doctrines and formulas of the Holy Trinity were done by early Christians to understand the relationship between Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit through the scriptural documents and through tradition.

The doctrine of the Holy Spirit is in single divine nature meaning that all the members of the Holy Trinity are co-equal and co-eternal, one in essence, nature, power, action, and will.

The members of the Holy Trinity are not names for different parts of God, but one name for God meaning that three persons exist in one God as one entity and they cannot be separated.

The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are considered to be eternal without beginning and end. The Holy Trinity is portrayed in the Christian art with the Holy Spirit being represented as a dove, shown with his wings outspread and the Holy Trinity is also depicted as three human figures of the Holy Trinity.

The Father is depicted as an older man with a white beard with a halo above his head and also represented as a hand appearing from a cloud in a blessing gesture or as a depiction of the “Throne of Mercy or Grace”.

The Son is seen at the right hand of the Father. The Son is also represented as a symbol – Lamb, cross, or a crucifix.

Significance of Novena To The Most Holy Trinity

It is celebrated on the first Sunday after Pentecost. Some churches such as The Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Catholic churches celebrate the Trinity Sunday on the Sunday of Pentecost itself.

Holy Trinity Prayer

O God, Thou who art one in nature and three in
persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, first cause and
last end of all creatures, the infinite Good,
incomprehensible and ineffable, my Creator, my
Redeemer, and my Sanctifier, I believe in Thee, I
hope in Thee, and I love Thee with all my heart.
In the midst of Thine infinite happiness, Thou didst
choose me, through no merits of mine, in preference
to countless other creatures, who would doubtless
have corresponded with Thy blessings better than I
have done; Thou didst love me from eternity; and
when my hour in time had come, Thou didst draw
me from nothingness into earthly existence and
didst bestow upon me Thy grace, as a pledge of
everlasting life.
From the depths of my misery, I adore Thee, and I
give Thee thanks. Thy holy Name was invoked over
my cradle to be my profession of faith, my plan of
action, and the only goal of my earthly pilgrimage;
grant, O most Holy Trinity, that I may ever be
inspired by this faith, and may carry out this plan
with perseverance, so that, when I have reached the
end of my journey upon earth, I be able to fix my
gaze upon the blessed splendors of Thy glory.

Amen.

God has given me the gift to read the signs, interpret the dreams, decode the angel numbers since birth. Through rigorous practice and application, my gifts have been fine-tuned. Now, I use my gifts solely to help those distressed souls who have lost all hopes, those who have been left alone to fend for themselves, those whom the system doesn’t care anymore, those whom the mainstream science has ignored.
