St. Joseph of Cupertino prayer & novena is believed to be very helpful for students during exams.
St. Joseph (Giuseppe Desa in Italian) was born to Felice Desa and Frencesca Panara in the village of Cupertino, Region of Apulia, Kingdom of Naples on 17 June 1603.
As a child St. Joseph experienced apparitions that continued throughout his life. Being born into a Christian family, St. Joseph was drawn into religious life at a very early age this made him apply at the Conventual Franciscan friars but was rejected due to his lack of education.
He later applied to the Capuchin friars in Martino and was appointed as a lay brother, later as a deacon, and ordained as a priest in his early 20s.
His visions grew stronger as he became closer to God and St. Joseph spent most of his days lost in wonder and ecstatic prayer which made him fly towards the altar or over it, sometimes it would happen even outside the Church but this was soon mistaken as witchcraft by some friars which later led to his confinement and complete seclusion which he remained the same for the rest of his life for almost 25 years.
He died on September 18, 1663, when he was sixty years of age. His wonderful gift of seeing God and his visions was seen as an oddity and burden but his deep love for Christ led him to immense holiness which was given through humility, voluntary mortification, and obedience.
His devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary promoted him among all classes of people as he chose a wonderful path to a deeper Christian life towards Jesus Christ.
St. Joseph of Cupertino was beatified in 1753 and canonized on July 16, 1767, and Pope Benedict declared September 18 as the feast day of St. Joseph of Cupertino.
The Church of St. Francis in Osimo holds the remains of St Joseph. The miracles worked through his intercession continue to multiply to those who pray to him in faith.

Significance of St. Joseph Prayer
St. Joseph of Cupertino is honored in the Catholic Church as a mystic and saint and is the patron saint of aviation, astronauts, mental handicaps, test-taking, and students. St Joseph of Cupertino is known as “The saint of Flyers” because of the mystical levitations he attained and mostly towards the Eucharist and Our Lady of Christ.
He is recognized as the “Patron of those undergoing examinations” and also as the “Patron of air travelers”. St. Joseph of Cupertino was blessed with miraculous levitation and intense ecstatic visions throughout his religious life.
