St. Rita novena for impossible cases prays for intercession to deliver special graces for sickness, ill-health, marital problems, abuse victims, widows, and sterility.
St. Rita of Cascia is a Saint venerated in the Roman Catholic Church and bestowed the title of Patroness for impossible causes and hopeless circumstances.
She was born in 1381 and left for the heavenly abode in 1457. She wanted to become a nun since childhood but was married off to a man who was very cruel. Her husband was physically abusive and heaped a lot of physical and mental torture on Rita.
Rita was a devout catholic so kept on praying. The power of her prayers eventually transformed her husband into a kind man.
Her husband was murdered because of a family rivalry. St. Rita mourned and prayed for his soul. Her two sons were caught up in the idea of vendetta. St. Rita tried very hard to dissuade them, but to no avail.
She kept her faith in Our Lord and prayed incessantly. She prayed to God to either change her sons’ hearts or allow them to die before they could commit this mortal sin.
Her prayers were answered and her sons died after falling sick. She then tried to devote her life to the Lord and sought entry to the Augustinian convent but was denied entry.
The sisters at St. Mary Magdalene Monastery were apprehensive as her family hasn’t still forgiven her husband’s killers. Rita was disappointed but she didn’t give up. She tried once more to be refused again as some of the sisters in the monastery had family relationships with Rita’s husband’s assassins.
Rita wasn’t the one to take a no for an answer. She persuaded both the families to make peace and forgive each other. Rita was finally accepted into the convent.
She led a peaceful life of regular prayer, contemplation, and reading religious textbooks for forty years. On Good Friday of 1442, she had an intense spiritual experience while praying before the crucifix.
She was overwhelmed by the gratefulness of Christ’s sacrifice and suffering and offered to relieve a small part of his pain.
Our Lord answered her prayers and she received stigmata (mark) of Jesus’ wound on her forehead which remained open and visible until her death fifteen years later. The stigmata signified St. Rita’s unity with Jesus Christ in his sufferings.
St. Rita was canonized in 1900 by Pope Leo XIII. She is revered as the patron saint of impossible causes, sterility, abused women, wounded, ill, marriage difficulties, parenthood, widows, and the sick
Significance
St. Rita led a very difficult life but never lost her faith in God. Through her love, forgiveness, and prayers she became a holy woman and led intercession for the sinners throughout her life.
Rita contemplated Christ’s suffering and was awarded unity with Jesus Christ in his sufferings.
Anyone who is staring at an impossible situation can do St. Rita novena for nine consecutive days. Your special request or petition will be immediately rewarded.

O Holy Patroness of those in need, Saint Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistable, who for thy lavishness in granting favors hast been called the Advocate of the hopeless and even of the Impossible
Saint Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus that thou couldst obtain from him whatsoever thou askest, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee, expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant; be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.
We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify, thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever. Relying then upon thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pray thee grant that

obtain for us our request by the singular merits of thy childhood, thy perfect union with the Divine Will, thy heroic sufferings during thy married life, the consolation thou didst experience at the conversion of thy husband, the sacrifice of thy children rather than see them grievously offend God, thy miraculous entrance into the convent, thy severe penances and thrice daily bloody scourgings, thy suffering caused by the wound thou didst receive from the thorn of thy Crucified Saviour, thy divine love which consumed thy heart, that remarkable devotion to the Blessed Sacrament on which alone thou didst exist for four years, the happiness with which thou didst part from thy trials to join thy Divine Spouse, the perfect example thou gavest to people of every state of life.
Pray for us, O holy Saint Rita, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Novena to St Rita for Impossible Cases (Version 2)
The Catholic Church honors St. Rita of Cascia on her feast day May 22nd. Saint Rita Novena is prayed usually during this time but can be done at any time of the year.
O holy protectress of those who are in greatest need, you who shine as a star of hope in the midst of darkness, blessed Saint Rita, bright mirror of God’s grace, in patience and fortitude you are a model of all the states in life. I unite my will with the will of God through the merits of my Savior Jesus Christ, and in particular through his patient wearing of the crown of thorns, which with tender devotion you did daily contemplate. Through the merits of the holy Virgin Mary and your own graces and virtues, I ask you to obtain my earnest petition, provided it be for the greater glory of God and my own sanctification. Guide and purify my intention, O holy protectress and advocate, so that I may obtain the pardon of all my sins and the grace to persevere daily, as you did in walking with courage, generosity, and fidelity down the path of life.
